Golf Resort Konopiste
One of the most beautiful golf resorts in our country can be found 40 km south of Prague.
Golf Resort Konopiště was inaugurated on July 20, 2002. Its home region is the Manorial Estate of Tvoršovice, whose history dates back to the 10th century. The last owner, the Bartoň family, used it as a summer residence. Golf Konopiště a.s. entered into the project in 1997 and built up a resort which can be proud of its two 18-hole master courses.
The courses are advantageously situated in a landscape with slight slopes, which is surrounded by the forest and includes various bunkers and numerous water barriers. A characteristic feature is represented especially by the great, modelled greens
Large territory with training green with grass tee-off areas, a bunker, chipping and putting green are prepared for training.
The entire resort was built up in cooperation with the Professional Golfers Association of Europe (PGAE).
Manor hotel ****
The beautiful, renovated chateau with a clubroom, reception, pro-shop as well as a restaurant is a regular jewel of the resort. An important part is formed
also by the “Chateau Hotel” with
a possibility of accommodation in luxurious rooms. Additional gastronomic services are provided by the “Steak House” restaurant.
Radecky Course - 18 holes, PAR 72
Master 18-hole holes course of PAR 72, length 6484 m, black tee-off areas is an encouragement for all players. John Burns, the comissionaire of European Association of Professional Golf Players, participated in formation it and Frantisek Stepan who is the main greenkeeper now was entrusted with building it. The course, that is set on gently variable surface with interesting wood section, number of bunkers and water holes and high quality large and beautifully shaped greens in particular, was formed in conjunction with European PGA.
The name of the course “Radecky” is collocated with one of the authentic owners of the manor, famous marshal of Napoleonic Wars - Vaclav Radecky from Radec.
D´Este Course - 18 holes, PAR 72
Newer 18-hole course D´Este means that the Golf Resort Konopiště can now offer golfers 36 top-class holes. A dominant feature is the island green on the ninth hole. The name of the course is linked to Archduke Ferdinand d´Este, the successor to the Austrian-Hungarian throne
